Commission Info
I love creating custom portraits to reflect the beauty and personality of the individual horse and its relationship with the owner or rider. I take a limited number of commissions in order to provide a personalized service.

High resolution photos are critical to achieving a realistic feel. Several photos, with or without a bridle/halter are ideal for achieving the best likeness.
Pricing is dependent on a number of factors including size, level of detail, whether the horse is wearing a bridle/halter, and if an action shot includes a rider with jumps and other details.

Once a size, portrait type, and price have been agreed upon and photos have been provided, a deposit of 50% will ensure a spot in the books.

Mini Portraits
Typically done on 8x10" hot press paper (Fabriano, Hahnemuhle, or Arches) with an active area around 5-6 x 5-6". The portrait can include a simple bridle or halter.

Action Portraits
These are my favorite! Pick a shot of a horse or a horse and rider, then add the jumps

*Horse, rider, and tack: $150
*Horse, rider, tack and XC jumps: $200-250 depending on complexity

Detailed Portraits
These are our signature offerings! The portraits are highly detailed and utilize multiple layers of premium colored pencils to create depth and richness. A bridle or halter can also be included for an additional cost.

10x12": $450 (base), $600 with detailed halter or bridle
12x16": $650 (base), $800 with detailed halter or bridle
